Northern Adjusters is proud to help bring Kids’ Chance to Alaska

Every year in Alaska, thousands of reports of injury and occupational illness are filed with the Workers’ Compensation Division, roughly 20 of which are fatalities.

The catastrophic injury or death of a parent or guardian can have a devastating emotional and financial impact on workers’ children. Compensation benefits may be insufficient for them to pursue their educational dreams.

That’s why Northern Adjusters is proud to be a founding member of Kids’ Chance of Alaska, to help children affected by a workplace injury to achieve their educational goals by providing financial support through scholarships.

Since the first Kids’ Chance in Georgia, the organization has grown to serve children in 48 states. Collectively, Kids’ Chance has awarded over 8,000 scholarships across the country, totaling over $27 million dollars.

We’re proud to be founding Kids’ Chance of Alaska, building on the efforts of collective Kids’ Chance organizations, to reach the families of injured workers in Alaska and grow awareness of this scholarship program in our state. We look forward to promoting Kids’ Chance’s cause and attracting more donors and volunteers.

“Losing a parent’s income, or worse, a beloved parent, due to a workplace injury or fatality is a life-shattering event. As a community, in compassion and responsibility, we are proud to bring Kids’ Chance to Alaska to help support children of injured workers to achieve their educational goals.”

— SUSAN DANIELS, CEO, NORTHERN ADJUSTERS INC.

While we wish we could be together in person to celebrate this moment of hope and opportunity for our community, we are excited to host a virtual founding event on September 24, 2020. During the founding ceremony, Northern Adjusters, CEO Susan Daniels, will join executive members from Kids’ Chance as well as fellow board members, for the official founding of Kids’ Chance of Alaska.

The partnership between Northern Adjusters and Kids’ Chance aligns perfectly with our dedication as a company to service. We look forward to the founding of Kids’ Chance of Alaska and to bringing the scholarship opportunity to the families of injured workers across our state.
